So, after getting through the sluggish middle, focusing on the story in 3 blocks, I've passed the MA in Writing for Young People and reached the end. I don't think I could've done this without changing the narrative tense from first person/ past, to first person/ present. Not to mention having the help, support and strength of C.J.Skuse at my back.
C.J, if you ever read this, I am eternally grateful for your help! You're like, the best manuscript tutor that ever was and ever could be!
And thanks to Moira Young for telling me to get away from my desk. Go for a long walk and think of anything but my novel. This is how I visualised my ending by stepping out of the circle where my novel consumed and took over my life.
But Chalk is not yet complete, it's time to print this bad boy out and edit like a mad one. More of everything is needed...
